Terms of Service
Last updated: May 26, 2026. These terms govern your use of Learn With Empire services.
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using the Learn With Empire platform, mobile applications, or any related services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use our services. These terms apply to all users including learners, instructors, organisations buying seats on behalf of learners, and visitors browsing the public site.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to create a Learn With Empire account. If you are between 13 and 18 (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is lower), you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed these terms with you. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Provide accurate information at registration and keep it current.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to share course content outside the platform, attempt to circumvent paywalls or DRM, scrape or bulk-download courses, impersonate another user or instructor, submit assignments or quiz answers that are not your own work where the course requires original work, harass other learners or instructors, transmit malware, or violate any applicable law. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.
4. Course content and license to you
Learn With Empire grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access enrolled course content for your own learning. Unless a course is explicitly marked as offering offline access, courses are streamed and viewed online. You may not reproduce, redistribute, publicly display, or commercially exploit course content. Your licence to a course continues for as long as the course remains in our catalogue and your account is in good standing; we may withdraw courses with reasonable notice if licences from third-party content providers lapse.
5. Your content and license to us
When you post discussion comments, submit assignments, upload profile information, or otherwise contribute content ("Your Content"), you retain ownership. You grant Learn With Empire a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, store, reproduce, display, and use Your Content for the limited purposes of operating the platform, surfacing your work to instructors who need to assess it, and improving our services. The licence ends when you delete Your Content or close your account, except for backup copies retained for a limited period and content already shared with other users.
6. Instructor and creator content
Courses are produced by Learn With Empire or by independent instructors. We do not guarantee that any course represents the only or best approach to a subject. Instructor opinions are their own. If you believe a course contains factual errors or violates these terms, email social@learnwithempire.com and we will review.
7. Certificates and credentials
Learn With Empire issues certificates of completion when you finish a course and meet any assessment threshold the course defines. Certificates are evidence of completion of the course as it existed on the date issued; they are not academic degrees, not accredited by any government education authority unless explicitly noted, and not guarantees of employment or competence. Each certificate carries a unique verification ID that can be checked by third parties via a public verification page. We may revoke a certificate if it was obtained through fraud, plagiarism, or violation of these terms.
8. Payment, subscriptions, and refunds
Courses in the Learn With Empire catalogue are free. Tutor-led classes are paid: a reservation fee is charged online when you book, and the course fee is agreed with you on your first call and invoiced separately. Learn With Empire sells no subscriptions, stores no payment instrument for reuse, and nothing renews automatically — every charge is a one-time payment you start yourself. The reservation fee is refundable in full until your first call takes place. 9. Intellectual property
All Learn With Empire platform code, design, branding, AI models, and original course materials are the property of Learn With Empire or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. The Learn With Empire name and logos are trademarks of the operating entity. You may not use our marks without prior written consent. Third-party content shown on the platform is the property of its respective owners and is used under licence.
10. AI features
Learn With Empire uses AI to generate quiz hints, summarise lessons, recommend next courses, and assist with learner support. AI outputs are suggestions and may be inaccurate or incomplete. Treat AI-generated content as a study aid, not authoritative reference. You remain responsible for your own learning outcomes and for verifying important information from primary sources.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Learn With Empire shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to loss of data, lost time, lost earnings, or harms arising from reliance on course content. Our total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the fees paid by you to Learn With Empire in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or INR 5,000 if no fees were paid.
12. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Learn With Empire, its affiliates, officers, employees, instructors, and agents from any claim, demand, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content, your use of the platform, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any applicable law or third-party right.
13. Termination
You may stop using the platform at any time and request account deletion via /data-deletion. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, fail to pay applicable fees, or if required by law. Certificates already earned remain verifiable after account closure unless they are revoked for the reasons in section 7. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, limitations of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution.
14. Governing law
Learn With Empire is a service brand of Empire Overseas Education (GSTIN 32AZKPN5744K1Z0), and Empire Overseas Education is the party you contract with — it is the name on your invoice and on your bank statement. These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, and you and we submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Ernakulam, Kerala.
15. Dispute resolution
The parties will first attempt to resolve any dispute informally by good-faith negotiation — write to us and we will answer. If the dispute is not resolved within 30 days of written notice, it shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seated in Kerala, India, conducted in English, by a single arbitrator appointed by mutual agreement of the parties, failing which in accordance with the Act. Either party may seek interim or injunctive relief from the courts at Ernakulam, Kerala. Nothing in this clause restricts your right to bring a complaint before a consumer forum or a relevant data protection authority.
16. Changes to terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We notify registered learners of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect, except for changes required for legal or security reasons which may take effect immediately. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
